Once you have a judgment against you, you will
receive a
Notice to Vacate from the Sheriff within 7-9 days. In certain
situations, we are able to assist tenants in reopening their cases. In
order for us to assess your case, please bring the following to our
office immediately:
- Summons and Complaint*;
- Proof of Service of Summons and
Complaint*;
- All notices that you have received
from the landlord along with the proof of services*;
- Register of actions (case summary)
from the court**;
- Notice of filing of Unlawful
Detainer from the court*;
- Any evidence to prove that the
landlord’s allegations are not true;
- $500 deposit. If we are able to
assist you, the fee will be based on a sliding scale. If we determine
after the initial consultation that we cannot assist you, we will
return $400 to you. The remaining $100 is a nonrefundable consultation
fee.
*If you do not have these items,
you can pick them up at the court.
**You must go to the court to get
these items.

MOCIONES DESPUÉS DEL FALLO
Una vez que se ha archivado un fallo en su contra, usted
recibirá una Notificación del Desalojo (Notice to Vacate)
del alguacil dentro de 7-9 días. En ciertos casos, podemos
asistir a inquilinos en re-abrir sus casos. Para que nosotros
podamos evaluar su caso, favor de traer lo siguiente a nuestras
oficinas inmediatamente:
- Demanda Del Desalojo (Summons and Complaint) – si no
ha recibido una, vaya a la corte y pida una copia;
- Todas las notificaciones que haya recibido del
dueño y la corte, y la Prueba de Servicio (Proof of services);
- Registro de acciones de la corte;
- Cualquier evidencia que tenga para comprobar que las
alegaciones del dueño no son verdaderas;
- $500 de depósito (efectivo, giro, cheque de
cajero, o tarjeta de crédito, Visa o Mastercard). Si le podemos
ayudar, los honorarios pueden ser más dependiendo de la
dificultad del caso. Si determinamos después de la consulta que
no podemos asistirle, le reembolsaremos $400.
